P.E.A.C.E. After-School Program

P.E.A.C.E. After-School Program

The After School Program starts during the first week of school (check email from the program director for start date) and runs through the last day of school.  Our after-school program, P.E.A.C.E. (Peralta’s Enriching and Creative Environment), provides care from the end of the school day (regular or minimum) to 6 p.m. on every school day.

Enrollment for the 2023-24 School Year

  • Please fill out both forms sent via ParentSquare no later than May 19th, incoming families will be contacted outside of ParentSquare in early May.

  • Families will be notified in June if their student has been enrolled or waitlisted for P.E.A.C.E.

Program fees are calculated monthly. Rates listed are for first child, with the rate for each additional child in the second chart. Program fees below are for the 2022-23 school year.

Payment Information

Payments are due each month. You can pay either online https://ebac.ejoinme.org/Peralta, or by check or money order. If you do pay by check or money order, please be sure to write the check to EBAC c/o Peralta P.E.A.C.E. program and you should write your child's name and month in the memo section. Receipts for checks or money orders can be written upon request.

Program Information

This sliding-scale program is designed to meet the needs of all Peralta families, with enrichment classes and homework time, along with active and quiet play. It reflects the Peralta community’s longstanding commitment to integrated programming that does not separate children by income.

P.E.A.C.E. is administered by the nonprofit group East Bay Agency for Children (EBAC), and partially funded by the California After-School Education and Safety Program (2002′s Prop. 49). This allows EBAC to offer the program at reduced cost to those who meet income requirements. Full scholarships are available. See tables above for details. Class Offerings

Classes run from late August through early January, and from late January through May. Offerings vary each term. Past classes have included:

  • Hip Hop Dance

  • Cooking

  • Origami and Paper Crafting

  • Skateboarding

  • Chess

  • Challenge Island

  • Creative Expressions

  • Arts & Crafts

  • Rembrandt Arts

  • Drama

  • Eat-a-Story (stories and snacks)

  • Recreation (outdoor games)

  • Visual Arts

  • Guitar

  • Basketball

  • The Leisure Club (art materials and reading in a quiet, unstructured setting)
